The Program

Develop the complete defenseman

Aaron's approach develops the complete defenseman—combining individualized on-ice development, hockey IQ, video analysis and mentorship to build the skills and understanding required to succeed at higher levels.

The approach

Great players need more than great skills. Aaron’s approach develops the complete player—the physical skills to execute, the hockey IQ to make better decisions, the confidence to compete under pressure, and the maturity to prepare for what’s next.

The Process

Aaron works alongside—not in place of—a player's team coach, skills coach or strength coach. His role is to connect the pieces: individual skill development, hockey IQ, game performance, accountability and mentorship.

01

Assess

Evaluate the player’s perspective, skills, hockey IQ, compete level and goals.

02

Identify

Determine and prioritize the areas that will make the greatest impact.

03

Develop

Build a personalized development plan around those priorities.

04

Compete

Translate development into decision-making, pace and game situations.

05

Evolve

Track progress, measure development and continually adjust the plan.

Who This Is For

Every player's path is different

The first step is a conversation about the player —where they are today, where they want to go, and what may help them get there.

Together, we'll determine whether Aaron Ness Hockey is the right fit and what type of development plan would make the greatest impact.

● High school players working toward varsity hockey or a larger role on their team

● AAA players preparing for the next level

● Players exploring junior or college hockey

● Players who want individualized attention beyond team practices

Quality Over Volume

Limited Enrollment

Aaron Ness Hockey is intentionally designed as a highly personalized player-development and mentorship program. Enrollment is limited so Aaron can provide meaningful individual attention, personalized feedback and a genuine mentorship relationship with each player. Quality of development will always take priority over the number of players enrolled.
